love & marriage

It has been oh so long since I've been able to post! But, I am excited to finally share my wonderful experiences out West with you all! As many of you know, I went to Santa Barbara California a few weeks ago to attend my brother, Alex's wedding! It was such a beautiful time surrounded by family and friends. Below are some photos from the amazing trip. We flew from BUF to LAX, then spent the night in LA. It was my first time seeing my brother's apartment in Los Angeles, it was gorgeous. The next day, I was able to see Alex's office in Culver City. After I received the full tour, we headed for Malibu. We went to the Reel Inn for lunch. It is a fantastic oceanside neighborhood spot for fresh seafood! I had an exquisite salmon dish. We continued on our journey toward Santa Barbara on the scenic PCH- I must recommend! After a two hour trip, we arrived at the Hotel Milo- our accommodations in Santa Barbara. The hotel is fabulous-right across from the beach. Despite being a boutique hotel, the grounds were spacious- there were many spots to sit, relax, and drink wine. The hotel also features two pools! Outside the lobby, there were fire pits along with cozy outdoor couches. Each morning, Hotel Milo hosts a complimentary breakfast with a decent amount of options- although I opted for Nutella and croissants every morning. I mean it's preparation for my upcoming France trip....right? The room itself was spacious, stylish, and immaculate. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Milo and would recommend it to anyone visiting Santa Barbara. That night, we explored the Funk Zone- an eclectic downtown area of Santa Barbara with plenty of good eats. We opted to dine at the Lucky Penny- a pizza and salad joint that was so perfect for our large group that we ended up dining there a lot. The next morning, our family enjoyed (using this term loosely- it was HOT) a game of beach volleyball. It was a ton of fun-despite my lack of coordination and skill. After cooling off in the pool, my cousins and I rented a four person bicycle and toured around SB. We had a ball trying to steer the bicycle, but the path along the beach was GORGEOUS. That night, my family and I went on a boat cruise- despite the fact that it wasn't a great sunset night- we saw some adorable seals! The wedding was absolutely perfect! I am so grateful that I could be part of their special day. Congrats to Alex & Frania!
